Mobius Labs Appoints Chief Operations Officer
Mobius Labs, a provider of artificial intelligence-powered computer vision solutions, has appointed Jeremy Deaner as Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Reporting directly to Mobius CEO Appu Shaji and based in London, Jeremy’s key focus will be to align the science, product and commercial teams, and help accelerate the company’s growth trajectory.
“We are very thrilled at Mobius to have Jeremy join the team and build on the growth of the business at this crucial time in our journey”, said Appu Shaji, CEO and Chief Scientist at Mobius Labs. “Jeremy is an industry veteran with years of experience in scaling up businesses from early-stage to exits. We are very excited about the wealth of knowledge he brings to the company and the impact he will make”.
Deaner brings more than 25 years of experience to Mobius Labs having grown software companies internationally. He has knowledge in one of Mobius Labs’ key target markets, film and broadcast, and was previously the CEO of AmberFin, spearheading the company’s journey from a start-up before it was acquired by Dalet.
“Mobius Labs is consistently driving innovation and I am very excited to be joining the company, focussing on our clients’ needs and preferences as they continue to evolve”, said Jeremy Deaner, Chief Operations Officer at Mobius Labs. “Mobius’ Superhuman Vision™ technology can unlock new commercial opportunities which I am looking forward to exploring further”.
The appointment of Deaner follows the company’s September funding round in which it raised €5.2 million. At that time, Mobius declared it would use the funds to expand its geographical footprint with a strong focus on Europe and the United States. The 30-strong company, which more than doubled in size over the last 24 months, also announced “aggressive plans” to double its headcount during the next 12 months.
Mobius further announced a webinar featuring Shaji and Eden Zoller, Omdia Chief Analyst, discussing how the video broadcasting world can adapt to a rapidly changing industry in 2022. The webinar will include a discussion panel with specific uses-cases and examples that are relevant to the video broadcasting industry and an open Q&A session. The webinar is on the 10th of May 2022.
